Rideout Regional Medical Center Expansion
Marysville, CA
As part of its mission of providing quality health care to every patient, Rideout Health constructed a new six-story, acute care hospital tower. The tower brings significant advances to health care in the region and includes a fully operational rooftop helistop. Several significant obstacles were overcome in the realization of the OSHPD 1 facility including maintaining the operation of the existing four-story hospital built in the early 1990’s to which it is connected. The building is supported by a system of auger-cast displacement piles to mitigate the geotechnical hazards present at the site due to its location near the confluence of the Feather and Yuba Rivers.
