Lydia leans into reality, applying her studies in substantive, hands-on ways every chance she gets. Such opportunities include humanitarian efforts performing ASCE 41 Tier 1 evaluations of schools in Jakarta, as well as designing a redwood hyperbolic canopy for her senior project that received all permits and will be built on campus soon. She particularly enjoys timber and steel but looks forward to getting a feel for every type of structural material and their niche project applications.
