Todd Thorp, SE
Senior Principal
Todd grew up on a farm, and at a young age was groomed to take over the family business; however he had one early career goal, “not to be a farmer”. He discovered his passion for design and his aptitude for engineering, and he fostered that interest into becoming one of Buehler’s leading structural engineers. After starting at Buehler, he helped the firm grow from a small crop of engineers to the bustling company it is today. He has a knack for working on intricate projects with complex geometries such as hyperbolic paraboloid roof structures. His solid business sense combined with his analytical skills also make him a master developer of complicated integrated Excel spreadsheets to track a multitude of metrics.
