Bill is passionate about integrating exposed structure as an honest expression of the architectural form. He leverages new technologies and tools, including Lean design principles, to develop creative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions for challenging building structures. His areas of expertise include structural design of large steel, concrete, and timber-framed buildings in high seismic regions; seismic evaluations and retrofits of existing and historic buildings (including unreinforced masonry); peer and constructability reviews; and architecturally exposed structural steel.
