Universal Health Services Henderson Hospital

Henderson, NV

Henderson Hospital is a new 172-bed acute care hospital, built as the cornerstone of a 155-acre healthcare themed master development. The hospital itself is a four-story bed tower with a one-story clinical podium, providing the full range of acute care, emergency, and diagnostic services.  The project utilized a Lean Integrated Project Delivery Method with a full Integrated Form of Agreement in which Buehler was proud to engage as a full profit partner. Working onsite from the outset, the design and construction partners collaborated on the design utilizing set-based design. The structural system selection alone involved the preliminary design and costing of eleven potential systems with the final selection made using Choosing by Advantages, leaving the team confident that the best value system was selected. Buehler also took a leadership role in the Last Planner System throughout the design process. Structural engineering was performed in a collaborative environment, as well as with a mix of specialty engineering performed by project partners.
