City of Sacramento 911 Dispatch and Training Facility

Sacramento, CA

The City of Sacramento 911 Dispatch and Training Facility provides 24 hour emergency support services for the Sacramento Police Department. The facility consists of two structures, a steel braced frame building and a concrete masonry shear wall building. The separation of the support services into the front steel building allows for a security break to the rear, hardened CMU essential services building. The connecting covered walkways provide a series of courtyards for staff breaks during 12 hour shifts on site and for natural lighting of the facility. The design also includes areas for K9 training and child care.
