Intel SC12 Parking Garage

Santa Clara, CA

The design of this four-story parking structure was guided by the need for extreme efficiency. Integrating pre-cast concrete beams and columns with cast-in-place post-tensioned floor decks provided the optimized solution. Leveraging off site prefabrication for pre-cast elements reduced construction duration while cast-in-place slabs and shear walls created the integrity needed to accommodate this seismically active site. A shallow stiffened-grid foundation system created a highly efficient method of minimizing differential settlement concerns associated with poor site soils. The selection and integration of the structural systems was methodically selected to provide the most cost effective solution.
