ICE Block II

Sacramento, CA

The ICE Block II project is the residential component of the ICE Blocks area of the revitalized R Street corridor in downtown Sacramento. Consisting of three distinct buildings, Block II provides approximately 150 housing units with a common rooftop amenity area over 5,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and covered parking for over 100 vehicles. The “Shed” building is a 2-story restaurant space with covered balcony seating overlooking R Street and connected to the residential buildings with a pedestrian bridge. The design incorporates board formed concrete, exposed steel trusses, and corrugated siding as an homage to the industrial past of the historic R Street corridor.
