As the administrative headquarters for the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, the facility includes administrative office space, living quarters for a 12-person crew, a community/training room, an apparatus bay that can accommodate up to 8 vehicles, and, of course, the Fire Chief’s quarters. The 25,000 square foot facility has a roof framed of steel girders and wood beams and joists bearing on concrete masonry shear walls.
