500 Capitol Mall Plan Check

Sacramento, CA

The Bank of the West Tower located at 500 Capitol Mall is the third tallest building in Sacramento. The dramatic 25-story high-rise adds Class A office space with views of the Sierra Mountains and Sacramento River.  The granite and glass façade of the office tower features a two-story triangular glass penthouse. The steel frame structure utilized a deep foundation system of driven steel H piles with a dual lateral system of special moment frames and eccentrically braced frames. Buehler performed a structural plan check for the City of Sacramento to review the foundations, structural frame, vertical and lateral force resisting systems.
